Child Safety Policy

Effective Date: 24 March 2026  ยท  Last updated: 24 March 2026

KidsGate Global is built for children. This Child Safety Policy describes how KidsGate Global Pty Ltd (ABN: [ABN TO BE INSERTED]) protects the safety, wellbeing, and privacy of every child who uses the KidsGate Global platform.

We hold child safety as our highest obligation. The commitments in this policy are not aspirational โ€” they are embedded into how our platform is designed and operated.

1Our Core Commitments

  • KidsGate Global is designed exclusively for children aged 5 to 12, used through a parent or guardian account.
  • We do not allow children to communicate with strangers on our platform. There are no direct messaging, chat, or social features between users.
  • We do not display third-party advertising to child users.
  • We do not collect more information about a child than is necessary to provide the educational Service.
  • We do not knowingly allow any adult to impersonate a child or access child-only features.
  • All content on the platform is moderated and age-appropriate for children aged 5 to 12.

2Parental Consent and Control

A parent or legal guardian must create and own the KidsGate Global account. Children do not register independently.

  • Parents set up and manage all child profiles.
  • Parents have full visibility of their child's progress, activity, and time spent on the platform via the Parent Dashboard.
  • Parents may delete a child profile at any time from within their account settings.
  • We do not share a child's learning data, progress, or personal information with third parties for commercial purposes.

3Data Minimisation for Children

For child profiles, we collect only what is strictly necessary:

  • First name or chosen display name (no surname required).
  • Age or grade level (to assign appropriate curriculum content).
  • Learning activity data (lesson completion, quiz results, tokens earned).

We do not collect a child's photograph, home address, phone number, school name, or any other sensitive identifying information.

4Leaderboard and Public Display

The KidsGate Global leaderboard is a global feature that displays a child's chosen display name and country. We encourage parents to use a nickname or non-identifying display name for their child rather than their full real name.

  • Only the display name and country are visible on the leaderboard.
  • No other personal information is publicly displayed.
  • Parents may change or remove their child's display name at any time.

5Content Safety

All curriculum content on KidsGate Global โ€” including lessons, stories, quizzes, games, and audio โ€” is developed and reviewed to be:

  • Age-appropriate for children aged 5 to 12.
  • Free from violence, adult themes, hate speech, discrimination, or harmful stereotypes.
  • Consistent with the values of the Cambridge English curriculum and International Mathematics standards.

Our adaptive learning system generates personalised learning paths based on curriculum content only. It does not generate open-ended conversational responses with children.

6No Third-Party Advertising to Children

KidsGate Global does not serve, facilitate, or enable behavioural advertising targeted at child users. We do not allow third-party advertisers to collect data about children for advertising purposes.

7Compliance with Child Protection Laws

We apply the most protective applicable standards globally. Our platform is designed to comply with:

  • The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) โ€” USA.
  • The UK Age Appropriate Design Code (Children's Code).
  • Indonesia's Personal Data Protection Law (UU PDP) and applicable child protection provisions.
  • The Philippines Data Privacy Act 2012 (RA 10173).
  • Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).
  • Vietnam's Decree 13/2023/ND-CP on personal data protection.
  • India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDPA), including provisions relating to children's data.
  • The Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and Australian Privacy Principles.

8Reporting Concerns

If you have a concern about a child's safety in connection with KidsGate Global, or if you believe any content on the platform is inappropriate or harmful, please contact us immediately.

We treat all safety reports as urgent. We will acknowledge your report within 24 hours and investigate promptly.

9Staff and Training

All team members at KidsGate Global who have access to user data or who develop content for the platform receive training on child safety obligations, data privacy, and our internal policies. Access to child data is restricted to personnel with a legitimate operational need.

10Ongoing Review

This Child Safety Policy is reviewed at least annually, and whenever there is a material change to our platform, applicable law, or best-practice guidance. We are committed to continuously improving our child safety standards as the platform grows.
